2020 Chameleon Blind- Virtual Stack
Chameleon Blind: Virtual Stack explores the overlap between the virtual and tactile, stillness and time to create trans-media “light collages” that illuminate the installation space each night from dusk till dawn.
The collages draw from the large collection of images, video and stop motion animations that Baker has been compiling for the past 5 years of reflected light, textures and objects in her studio. These light collages are then projected onto fabricated steel frames warped with naturally dyed fibers from plants gathered from the urban landscape of Chicago.
